SVAN supports our local culture and artistic enrichment through a variety of community-based art programs throughout the Sacandaga Valley Region of New York.
SVAN offers three art galleries to our member artists in addition to our online presentation, and sales enrich our artists and our organization.

The Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (SVAN), serving the region’s growing arts community, has a gallery located at 303 S. Main Street in Northville. It showcases a variety of 2D and 3D art from the SVAN visual artists. With quarterly rotations, the art displays change with each season, giving the artists a chance to display their new work. The gallery supports the community by affording the collector & visitor to view new artwork from the surrounding area. Interested artists should read and complete the registration application, carefully, and submit it along with their work. SVAN Membership is a prerequisite to participation in the SVAN Gallery & Gift Shop in Northville.

When visiting the gallery, you will have the opportunity to view beautiful artwork. Ideally, each exhibiting artist hosts a meet-and-greet reception, inviting the public to meet the artists and learn what motivates them to create their work. Refreshments will be served.

The Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (SVAN), serving the region’s growing arts community, in conjunction with the Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCRCC&I), opened a gallery in the Fulton County Chamber Visitor Center at Vail Mills, NY in June 2009. We are now able to offer SVAN visual artists the opportunity to display their work in the gallery located at the junction of Rt. 29 and Rt. 30.
This will accomplish several important community goals
Promote the arts by expanding the awareness of SVAN to the community.
Provide a network-in-large vehicle for artists.
Provide an opportunity for increased art sales by exposure.
Periodic gallery open-house receptions will draw local residents and out of town visitors to view artwork, engage with artists, and purchase their work.
New Rotation
Artists interested in applying to exhibit and/or sell their artwork in the SVAN/Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce Vail Mills Gallery may complete and submit an application for the next rotation of art.

Take the Journey! This two-day trail will bring you to artists' studios and galleries you never knew were there. Nestled in the beautiful Sacandaga River Valley you will discover the inspirations and talents of these local artists.
Art and Music Lessons
A variety of lessons and skill development programs conducted by skilled artists, craftspeople and professionals in their artistic expression.
Events & Workshops
Spanning the visual and literary arts, SVAN brings a variety of community-centered events to the Sacandaga Valley Region year-round. Workshops have included such topical offerings as painting, photography, textiles/weaving, woodworking, jewelry-making, stained glass and literary/writing programs.
